Comfort Food: Scrap Bucket Cookies
Updated: Sep 23, 2020
The one thing I love about baking cookies is that it is so easy to modify and customize a recipe to make it your own, and it allows you to really get creative. In my opinion, cookies are the ultimate comfort foot because of that!

Here’s my recipe for Scrap Box Cookies!
Start with a quick and easy cookie base:
1 ½ sticks of butter (softened not melted)
Two eggs
2 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour
2/3 cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
A couple shakes of salt
1 cup of brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract

Source your ingredients.
This is not a recipe that requires you to go out and buy a ton of new ingredients and supplies. You use whatever candy, snacks, and treats you already have in your pantry.

For this batch of cookies I used:
Turtle Chex Mix
Chocolate chip morsels
Funfetti sugar morsels
Wavy potato chips
Reese's Pieces
Fold all of your ingredients into your cookie dough

Use a small ice cream scooper, or a tablespoon to measure you cookie, and scoop out onto your baking sheet.
Bake on 425 for 12-14 minutes
Eat!
