How May Went.....

My May was wild! I quit my job, (more deets on that later) went on vacation, and soooo much more. I'm hoping to make these monthly recaps a staple on my blog. If you have any questions about any of the items I recommend please let me know!

What I Bought

Fake Birks

I needed some new sandals for the summer and I love the look of birkenstocks. However, I don’t love the price tag. I found these Cushionaire sandals on Amazon for less than $25. They are so comfy, and come in an array of different colors and inclusive sizes!

American Eagle Shorts

American Eagle is slowly becoming my go-to for all things denim. I got these Highest Waist Mom Shorts for vacation and I LOVE them. They run a little small so I had to size up. Be sure to search for a coupon before you shop!

What I listened to

Your Own Backyard

This podcast isn’t new, but new developments in the Kristen Smart case are credited to Chris Lambert and the Your Own Backyard podcast. I Listened to all of the available episodes in about a week and a half. Lambert does a great job going through the case piece by piece, and produces a great piece of journalism.

What I watched and Read

What Happened to Me

I’m currently reading this book by Oprah and Dr. Bruce Perry. It’s all about Trauma and how our experiences as children shape who we become and how mentally healthy we are. I haven’t finished yet, but in my defense, it’s been a busy month. I’m listening through audible. You can sign up now and get your first two credits for free!

Good Girls

I started watching Good Girls back in 2018 when it premiered, but I never made it past the third episode of the first season. This month I BINGED the first three seasons and I am now working on the fourth. This show is so good and I love the realness of the women and their life experiences.

Woman in the Window

Netflix came out swinging with this new thriller. Amy Adams stars in the film about a woman who is agoraphobic, and watches her neighbors through her window. When she starts witnessing weird things happening she starts to spiral and the story goes on from there. I give this movie an 8 out of 10!
